LOWELL -- An accord has been reached.
At 1 a.m. Friday, following a six-hour mediation session, the School Committee and United Teachers of Lowell came to an agreement on a new contract.
The 1,400 member teacher and paraprofessional union has been working under the provisions of their previous contract since June 30, 2009.
